We are a Community School

My name is Carlos Corona, and I was born in Mexico and I grew up in Fowler, California. I graduated from Fowler High School and earned a BS in criminology, a minor in Cultural Anthropology and with ample coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis from Fresno State University and Cal. State San Marcos, respectively. In addition, I also served 13 years in the Army, and I am a veteran of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

Although not originally from Fresno, I have many ties to this great city, and it is an honor for me to serve as Birney's Community School Coordinator. 

My goal is to foster a strong and supportive school community by strategically connecting students, families, school staff, and local resources. Lastly, I aim to create a holistic and inclusive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of students, promotes academic success, enhances overall well-being, and fosters community engagement.
